Terms of Service
Verdict is a personal tool, offered as-is, to help you get better at League. Use it fairly — don't use it to harm other players or to break Riot's rules — and understand it's an early, evolving project with no guarantees. If that works for you, you're welcome here. What Verdict is, and agreeing to these terms
Verdict (“Verdict”, “we”, “us”) is a personal diagnostic app for League of Legends that studies your own match history and explains why you win and lose. These terms are the agreement between you and Verdict for using the app and this website. By using Verdict, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Who can use Verdict
To use Verdict you need a Riot Games account, and you must meet Riot's own age requirements and be old enough to enter into this agreement where you live. If you're under that age, please don't use Verdict.
Using Verdict fairly
Verdict is here to help you improve — nothing else. When you use it, please don't:
- use it to harass, stalk, expose, or otherwise harm other players, or to identify anyone who isn't already identifiable from the game itself;
- use it to break Riot's rules — Verdict only reads and analyzes data; it never plays the game for you, and you shouldn't pair it with anything that does (scripts, bots, or automation that touches the game);
- resell, rent, or pass the service off as your own, or scrape or overload it;
- try to break, reverse-engineer, or misuse the app or its infrastructure, or use it for anything unlawful.
Keep it fair and it'll keep working — for you and for everyone else.
Riot Games
Verdict uses the Riot Games API in line with Riot's developer policies. Your use of League of Legends and your Riot account is also governed by Riot's own Terms of Service. Verdict is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games — see the notice at the bottom of this page.
The app is provided “as is”
Verdict is an early, personal project, offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. Its analysis is for information and coaching only — we don't promise it's complete, error-free, or that it will raise your rank. Parts of it depend on Riot's API, which can change or go down outside our control, and features may break, change, or disappear. Use your own judgment.
Accounts and payments
Today, Verdict has no user accounts to register and takes no payments. If that changes — for example, if we add sign-in or paid features — we'll present the additional terms for those at the time, and they'll apply alongside these.
Free and paid
There will always be a free tier of Verdict. If we ever add a paid tier, it only unlocks additional analysis — it never puts the core verdicts behind a paywall. Verdict carries no advertising, and it has nothing to do with gambling, betting, or cryptocurrency. And the Riot Games data Verdict reads on your behalf is never resold — to anyone, for any reason.
What belongs to whom
The Verdict name, its branding, the app, and this site's design and content belong to us. You get a personal, limited, revocable licence to use Verdict for your own gameplay analysis — nothing more. League of Legends and all Riot marks and assets belong to Riot Games; Verdict claims no ownership of them.
Third-party services
Verdict relies on third-party services to work — the Riot Games API, plus the infrastructure and optional AI providers described in our Privacy Policy. We're not responsible for those services' own availability, terms, or actions. Your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Stopping
You can stop using Verdict at any time, and you can ask us to delete your data whenever you like (see the Privacy Policy). Because Verdict is a personal project and not a guaranteed service, we may also change it, or suspend or stop offering it, in whole or in part, at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Verdict is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of it, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid to use Verdict — which, today, is nothing. Some places don't allow certain limits or exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you; where that's the case, we limit our liability as much as the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for anything significant we'll do more to let you know. If you keep using Verdict after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law & the last details
Because Verdict is a personal project run by one person, these terms are governed by the laws of the operator's home country, and we'll try to resolve any dispute with you directly and in good faith first. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the laws where you live.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Verdict about using it. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies; and if we don't enforce a part of them right away, that doesn't mean we've waived it.
